| On the way to Mt. Rainier I took photos of a very dry Alder Lake. Alder Lake is a man-made lake built as a reservoir. The town of Alder, was flooded and remains under the surface of the lake. This summer though, it was so dry that house tops could be seen.
The butterflies have nothing to do with Mt. Rainier. They just didn't need their own gallery. I took the photos at the Woodland Park Zoo this summer because with my photography buddy-ette, Rebecca Randall. If you want to see some wonderful butterfly photographs, take a look at her work here.
